With over 30 years of experience in financial planning, I'm passionate about helping clients build strategies around their unique goals, needs and priorities. As a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP), I bring extensive knowledge of insurance, investments and financial planning to help clients protect what matters most and prepare for the future.
My approach starts with listening. Whether simplifying complex benefit plans like 401(k)s, building insurance strategies or developing a broader financial plan, I work with clients to create a clear path forward that prepares for life's unexpected challenges while supporting long-term goals.
I earned my bachelor's degree in music with a focus on Trumpet Performance from the University of Iowa, a creative background that continues to shape how I approach problem-solving and planning.
I primarily serve clients in Illinois, Michigan and Indiana and am licensed in more than 15 states. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my three grandsons, and exploring the arts.
My Iowa Story
My wife Susan and I met as music students at the University of Iowa. Iowa played an important role in both of our lives, and we're grateful to be in a position today to help create opportunities for future students.
