A native of Omaha, Nebraska, Mike’s journey with Mutual of Omaha began in 2018 as a regional sales manager and then transitioned into managing the recruiting team, both on the Advisor Business Development team. He briefly left to run sales for a healthcare company but returned when he was offered his current role as managing director.
Mike’s goal is to run an agency that is highly efficient to meet their clients’ demands and advisors’ goals. His managerial philosophy is to put people first, clients and staff, with genuine care, lifelong learning, continuous improvement, and the ability to grow within their positions. He is passionate about growing talent – he believes in placing the right people in the right positions, training them, and letting them perform.
Mike spends most of his free time outside with his wife and two daughters. They enjoy hiking, skiing, climbing, snowshoeing, and biking.

Growth is a word that describes Mike’s life in many areas. Early in his life, he grew his resolve as a throwing dummy with the University of Northern Colorado wrestling team and tested his limits as a war veteran with the United States Marine Corps. After Mike’s semester abroad as a Marine in Operation Iraqi Freedom, he graduated from Metro State University of Denver with a bachelor’s degree in business management.
But growth isn’t just about his own personal development. Jim Rohn, an American Entrepreneur, once said, “the fastest and best way to get what you want is to help others get what they want.”
As a CFP®, Certified Business Coach and Life Coach, the bulk of Mike’s professional time is spent recruiting, mentoring, coaching, training, and developing new advisors as they endeavor to build their practices with Mutual of Omaha. He is dedicated to growing his team to serve their communities and help others realize their dreams and achieve their goals.
In his free time, Mike keeps busy spending time with his wife and five kids. He also enjoys golfing, scuba diving and snowboarding, and volunteers regularly at his church and other local organizations.

Sports have always played a major role in Ben’s life. The competitiveness and teamwork-oriented values created through sports have remained and helped drive success in his professional life.
Prior to joining Mutual of Omaha, Ben spent 16 years working in the life & annuity insurance fields, cultivating, and growing several different territories in the Rocky Mountain region for both Jackson National Life and Symetra Financial. His extensive experience working with thousands of financial advisors across all channels has allowed him to learn from the best and pass that knowledge on to new advisors to help them be successful.
Ben played baseball at Metro State College of Denver where he earned a degree in finance. He was born and raised in Aurora, Colorado where he currently resides with his four children. In Ben’s free time, he enjoys golfing, hiking, taking his yellow lab, Doc, out for walks, and playing sports with his kids.

As a recruiting professional, she has always embodied three qualities: integrity, ambition, and loyalty. Whether anyone is around or not, she will always operate in the same manner. Becoming stagnant is also not an option. Kiaya continues to seek opportunities for growth. She also believes every relationship and opportunity deserves dedication, even in times of change or hardship.
Upon graduation from Metropolitan State University of Denver with a business management degree, Kiaya launched her career in the Talent Acquisition space within a boutique executive search firm. Not long after in 2016, she began her role at Mutual of Omaha in the Advisory Recruiting segment with the Rocky Mountain Division Office.
In her current role, Kiaya builds recruiting strategies and implementation parameters, as well as helps others identify their potential, so they may capitalize on new opportunities. Being born and raised in Colorado, she has a strong sense of community and gives back often through volunteering at local Universities in career services centers and non-profits like Freedom Service Dogs of America.
When Kiaya is not in the office, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and enjoying the great outdoors.
